In 2015, Fekat Circus conceived the first African Circus Arts Festival as a means to reinvent the image of circus in Ethiopia while stimulating the development of the circus sector in Africa. The first edition of the festival took place in February 2015, for the first time gathering 107 African circus artists who met and performed on an African stage. The second edition followed suit in March 2018. This festival gathered 6 of the most prestigious circus troupes from the four corners of Africa. They performed on two stages, one of which is the first circus tent in the continent.
